Underlying Implementatio for java.sql.Connection

Dear Friends,

I would like to know, while we creating a java.sql.Connection - DriverManager.getConnection(), what are the things are done?(like network availability and so on).


take an example of oracle DB, explain me what are things are done on both side - JVM and Oracle server.
