MQ stands for Message Queue, mainly comes under asynchronous communication..

JMS is definitely the API for asynchronous communications -- message queues. However, I have a minor possible speculation.

The fact that they mentioned MQ, instead of JMS, implies that MQ Series may be involved. You still have to know JMS, but there is a possible implication of MQ series, Websphere, etc.
