I have seen many references to jdbcracle:thin:@localhost:1521. The db resides on another computer and I am trying to use apache/tomcat to run a jsp website. I am having connection problems though. I have instead of jdbcracle:thin:@localhost:1521 i have jdbcracle:thin:399.22.22.11:1521. Would this still work (if the ip given was real)?

Thank you,

I believe you should have

jdbcracle:thin:@399.22.22.11:1521 (If 399 was in the valid IP range).
I agree. Here's the link:
