What type of oracle driver mostly used in companies?
Can anyone tell how they will select among 4 types of drivers for the project.

There are many criteria like Performance,Features, client support etc..and a type 4 driver is the best when compared, Type 4 drivers are pure Java and are faster. Therefore Type 4 driver is always preffered.

You can see a comparision at http://faq.javaranch.com/view?JDBCDriverTypeComparison

I think these words are not correct.
In gereral, type 4 driver present not the best performance.
For oracle,to get the best performance you should use OCI driver which is type 2.

Indeed type 2 driver is faster than a Type 4 driver, but my intend was not this, When a comparison is done it should cover all aspects.
Since Type 2 requires native API to present at client. It is something certainly I will not prefer

I do agree with you Type 2 Driver are faster, but I will always prefer to have Type 4 Driver.
