i was having Oracle installed on my system.
but due to some problem i have to format the PC.
i have installed oracle on separate drive.
and i have prepared lots of table on that.
now how can i use those tables again after re-installing the OS.
how can i retrive the old data.
please help.

Backup the database

All you need to do is backup the schema if you have stored the tables in one user id.

After you reinstall the Oracle create same user you have now currently and then use "imp" to import the tables.

If you have tools like TOAD then this will be much easier. You can also consider exporting individual tables in text/xml format but this will be time consuming.
