how to convert the output that is retrived from a query into graphical representation ie bar graph or pie graph etc

Hi
There are tens of reporting and charing engine in java
just go and pick one of them at :
http://java-source.net/open-source/charting-and-reporting
then you can look at its manual for more details.

I would prefer using http://www.jfree.org/jfreechart/ but you can select any other one from that list.
