I am wokring under H1B as a Java Developer for a while. While filing for tax returns, I am curious to know what's the tax % that average unmarried H1B workers are paying?
I find that there are 3 taxes that Govt gets - one from employee (me), another from my employer and another is employment tax (???). Here assume that the employee is getting remuneration in hourly basis rather than yearly salary.
* What's the stanadard tax % for cat - A? For married and for unmarried workers if the income is equivalent to 60k/year? * How much % the employer pays as their income tax from H1B worker's share? * Who pays the employment tax? Employer or employee? * What's the market rate of sharing for hourly basis income? 80-20, 75-25 or 70-30?
I am looking forward to your comments to clarify my confusions
