Hi,

The project I'm currently working on is a java application, which has the requirement of importing data from source schema to destination schema including ddl.We are not supposed to make use of import and export utilities provided by oracle. Is it possible to achieve this one through jdbc?or do i need to make use of database links. To solve this problem, how should i approach?

Yes you can do this with JDBC. You'll need to use the methods supplied through java.sql.DatabaseMetaData to find out about the database you are exporting from. Be careful to check your chosen driver supports the methods you want to use though.
