How is JDO implemented? If it will use a DAO?

If so, is it use JDBC tech in a database access object?

IF so, the transaction is in JDO or in JDBC? thus the JDO acts like a
wraper. Am I right?

There are many fine implementations of JDO.

You could start with the reference implementation:

And yes, you have the option of using Data Access Objects with JDO.

If you're using JDO for database access, the JDBC is a logical choice.
