Exporting data to excel file... using java web app

Hi,

In my web application i want to export data to excel sheet.

how do i do it ? can anybody guide me for the same...

backend mysql 5.0 and using Simple MVC architecture...

i tried Google but did not get much information....

but urgent...

Do you want to write an excel file on file system or you want to display content in excel form to user.

i want to create excel file and than write data into excel file...

The AccessingFileFormats FAQ page lists a number of libraries that can write Excel files. POI and jExcelApi is particular are popular.
