Hi
thank you for reading my post
It is more a design related question but i did not find other places to ask about this.
As you know usually people who perform business requirement gathering and analyzing are usually separated from those who write the application.
My question is, whether these analysts should ask questions and check for transaction requirement or isolation level requirement or it is developers job to understand which operation need transaction and specific isolation level?

If it is analysts role then what kind of questions can analysts use to understand the need to transaction or isolation level in a business operation?

Thanks

Thanks.

It really depends on your company organization, in some companies titles can be blurry and only loosely related to job function, so it hards to say who should handle it.

I would think the analyst would set requirements for the application such as "the system should encrypt all communications to protect user security" whereas the designer and the developer would be responsible for finding a way to meet the requirement using whatever tools they see fit. In a perfect company (or world), analysts, designers and developers would meet at some point to discuss difficult issues and everyone would have full understanding of how to proceed.
