Dear all, can somebody please explain step by step on writing a sql query that gives results when user enters a parameter in textbox and submits. using WHERE or LIKE in sql, prepared statement or any other will be helpful. results could either be displayed in same page or in new page. database - MySQL development tool - sun java studio creator but i want description about all this to be done in sun java studio creator. i have seen travel center example from sun it explains using drop down. it would be helpful if somebody also give info about advance tutorials about sun studio. thanks in advance anand

thanks for reply my question is how to use sun java studio creator to develop jdbc queries. like search based on user defined parameters and displaying results etc. it would kind if body could help me out! regards, anand

Anand, In that case, your question would go better in our IDEs forum where someone is likely to have used Java Studio Creator. I'll move the thread for you.
