Update statement not executing

Hi All,

I am facing an unique problem.I am firing an Update statement, but the executions gets hang there in the statement.

Please find the code below.



In the abive program SOP after the executeUpdate() statement is not printing.

Yeah, what was it? Was the original table locked by another application?

i dont know the exact reason for it........but i did the commit on the table.Then it started working.
Then now i have put con.commit() in the code.So, its working fine.
 
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
