Hi Which kind of company will help improve the profile of a QA Engineer. 1.Product Based Company with High Level Engineering(Planning , Desiging , Structuring) and others are outsourced to a IT service company. 2.An IT Service company Thanks in Advance Rahul
If you can get an opportunity to work with product-based company WITH strong QA processes (look for certifications), then nothing like that. You will be able to understand the complete SDLC and this will look really good on your resume .
If not, service based comapnies like Applabs, Disha (now Aztec), Rapidigm etc. are also a good choice for a QA person.
hi Hrishikesh, what kind of certifications would help for a QA engineer working in a JAVA product?i have completed SCJP,SCWCD ,but after i came to the QA side i stopped focussing on these certifications.would these still be useful for me even if i choose a QA career in java?kindly advise. i would also like KJ.Reddy to give me some valuable advice on this.... regards, raja
Certifications do help in QA. But my opinion is that somebody with approx 1 year of experience and a certification like one offered by CSI or say CSTE, won't work much. Certifications are best when combined with *atleast* 2 years of good/relevant experience.
Well yes I agree wid abhijit .If u have a certification with an handson exp. that will value much.
As the JAVA certification is concerned I wud like to say in QA there is not need to go for language certifications.Insteed only the working knowledge and the flaws , merits and de-merits of a technology and how it works matter which comes after u play with that.Better suggestion will be that u do RnD on different technologies and find out the goods and bads in them try to figure out the logical answer rather than programable answer Thanks Hrishikesh Bose
