If my java code is on windows and it need to access some database on a remote UNIX machine. Where should I have my jdbc driver installed ? I assume it should be installed on windows and the .jar should be included in the classpath for the application running on windows. On the UNIX side I don't need to care if there is a jdbc driver as long as the database is well set up. Does this make sense ?
