Hi,
I installed mysql4.0 in my machine and operating system is windows vista.
while starting up the server , i am unable to start msql.
can any one guide me how to resolve this problem

The first step is to look at the logs for mySql. What does it say there?

Error occured with the error number.
So , any one guide me start the mysql in Windows vista
