ojdbc14_g.jar problem

Greetings fellow rangers,
I would like to enable some more logging in the project that I am working on. For this reason I tried to exchange the ojdbc14.jar with the ojdbc14_g.jar. According to Oracle, it is the same driver, only with added logging functionality (ojdbc14_g.jar:
Same as ojdbc14.jar except compiled with the -g option to include debugging information and with java.util.logging calls included.
). Both files are the same version ( Of course it won't work, otherwise I wouldn't be posting ;) I get a rather long stacktrace once i change to ojdbc14_g.jar, the part that seems to hold the problem is:
