i m having 5+ yrs of experience in J2EE technologies, currently my employer has offered me a switch to Datastage technology.
i request ranchers to advise,
* i want to know whether it is advisable to switch to datastage at this point, * what is the scope in datastage?,
* the learning curve,
* are there any other companies in india using this product?
any response will be highly helpful

It's not unusual for a company to want you to move to a technology that's proprietary or lacks marketability. Later on, they often change technologies again. When they change, they sack you. You should sack them now.

Hi,
Is it good for a fresher(MCA, 2006 batch) to start it's career with IBM WEBSPHERE DATASTAGE TX / Mercator Technology ?
I am not a bit interested but my employer is forcing me.

What should i do?

(I am sorry for interrupting Rajesh's thread.)
