Does anyone have ever successfully deployed the Cabin example from Oreilly's EJB 2nd book by Richard Monson-Haefel? I have tried almost a week using Weblogic 5.1, but when I click Tools->Generate Container..., it keeps complaining: C:\WINNT\Profiles\hyao\.ejbdeployer\deployer-projects\cabin\ejb-jar\com\titan\cabin\CabinBeanEOImpl.java:56: incompatible types found : int required: java.lang.CabinPK pk = bean.id; ^ 1 error I checked the file CabinBeanEOImpl.java generated by WebLogic, obviously, the code was wrong. What I missed in deployment setting and how can I fix it? Thanks in advance! Henry
"hyao", The Java Ranch has thousands of visitors every week, many with surprisingly similar names. To avoid confusion we have a naming convention, described at http://www.javaranch.com/name.jsp . We require names to have at least two words, separated by a space, and strongly recommend that you use your full real name. Please log in with a new name which meets the requirements. Thanks.
It is quite obvious that while deploying the system is expecting a primary key class whereas what it is actually getting is a int. Please verify your code for the CabinPK class i.e the primary key class.

I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
