Hello everybody, I have come across a lot of people who look down on J2EE(j2sdkee1.2.1) APP server, compared to app servers like weblogic and Iplanet.I know that the j2ee server does not have the capabilities of an weblogic server or even a Iplanet server and so an impression like this is quite obvious. But i would like to know two things, a)Besides testing, are companies using J2EE server foranything else? b)What are the features available on the J2EE server which is on par with other app servers? Thanks, Manjunath

"Manjunath B.S" The Java Ranch has thousands of visitors every week, many with surprisingly similar names. To avoid confusion we have a naming convention, described at http://www.javaranch.com/name.jsp . We require names to have at least two words, separated by a space, and strongly recommend that you use your full real name. Please log in with a new name which meets the requirements. Thanks.

Hi All, Is there anybody who can throw some light on this!?? regards, Manjunath Subramanian
I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to
run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
