This book covers Scalability/performance issues of entprise application, esp. in web environment. An interesting topic. Just judge from the TOC.

dont know much about this weeks give away
but surely the books listed below will helpful:
1. Server-Side Programming Techniques (Java(TM) Performance and Scalability, Volume 1) by Dov Bulka
2. Java Performance Tuning by Jack Shirazi
