Any Bluestone fans out there who know otherwise, please tell me. If you're looking specifically for free J2EE, two I know of are JOnAS (http://www.objectweb.org) and JBoss (http://www.jboss.org). JOnAS is entirely free and claims better performance, but JBoss has been better integrated with JSP/Servlet containers such as Tomcat. You do have to pay if you want up-to-date manuals, however. There are other systems as well. Orion is popular, though you have to pay for commercial use, if I remember correctly.
