Hi, I think the J2EE Design Patterns Applied book (ISBN: 1861005288), is a good introductory book for people trying to learn J2EE Design Patterns. J2EE Design Patterns are a sub-topic in an overall pattern discussion. If you are just trying to learn the basics of patterns and not J2EE Design Patterns, I recommend you pick up a copy of the GOF book ( ISBN: 0201633612) and Steven John Metsker's book, Java Design Patterns Workbook (ISBN: 0201743973). Thanks, John Carnell
