Mohan, Capgemini is a good company; work culture is okie & company is quite good from security point of view but you may have to pass through bench period for couple of months. well if you dont mind; can you tell us how much they offered to you? what is your work experience?....actually one of frnd is undegoing negotiation rounds..she is asking for 6.5 for 3 work exp.....

I think 6.5 for 3 yrs exp is too much, I am having 6 yrs exp and getting @ 6 only. Well don't know what is the current scenario, or probably its depend where he is working what is current package , academic etc etc. I am undergoing through interview only.

These days 6L for 3 years exp is quite normal. Capgemini pays well. I think 6.5 should not be a problem. Depends on other factors too like current salary, technical skills, your bargaining power, etc.

Buddy dont feel inferior to others(IITians or reputed institute pass outs) when it comes to negotiations on salary. If you have sound skill set & mandatory education; you can ask what you deserve.
