This week's giveaway is in the EJB and other Java EE Technologies forum. We're giving away four copies of EJB 3 in Action and have Debu Panda, Reza Rahman, Ryan Cuprak, and Michael Remijan on-line! See this thread for details.
I have an application where recaords are saved to the database using Threads. Maximum eight threads could be created to interact and store large number of records in Eight differnt independent tables. We are using Db2 database and using NamedPipes protocal to connect to the database. when the thread starts, first time it tries to access the database it throws com.ibm.websphere.ce.cm.StaleConnectionException: exception. I studied notes on Ibm sites about this exception about no work over is provided. Due to this exception no data loss is occuring. But in the second or third attempt it gets the connection and the dtabase operation is completed. This exception on an average comes for first four attempts. Interestingly when i try to access the same functioanlity in the second time in the same session it does not come. Can anyone suggest a soluiton how to avoid the exception
