Hi,
My first post to this forum as I take tiny steps into the J2EE and EJB world.
Why is there no concept of Events in the EJB model? Has it do with threads ?
Are property change events or vetoable events best left out of server-side implementations ?
Thanks

Mostly it's because distributed events are REALLY difficult to do right. There's been no concensus on the right way to do this, despite multiple efforts (witness the Jini Event specification, CORBA events, and a half dozen others...)

Thanks , that answers the first part.
I haven't come across any example that uses java.beans and events on a traditional Client-Server 3-tier architecture (i.e not distributed).
Is there a disadvantage with implementing this, apart perhaps, from making this non-migratable to a distributed framework ?
Thanks.
