Is anyone aware of some comparative studies between the different web servers for Java applications that are currently available?
Thanks

I doubt you'll find any comprehensive benchmarks because the big boys don't like their laundry being done in public... For example, BEA's license terms prohibit publishing any benchmark results without their permission and thus there aren't any performance studies involving WebLogic Servers (there are some studies referring to "server A" and so on).
