applicability of GMAT in India

Hi All,

I want to know which 'reputed' institutes in India recognize GMAT scores. For e.g. IIM does not and it uses on CAT.

I want to get into a good part-time MBA program in India, but right now I am in Singapore. I am planning for 6 months from now to get into a good MBA school and simulatenously study. But I am a bit worried as in India we do not have a single exam for all institutes. Each institute have their own tests. But I am wondering if some 'reputed' institutes in India do consider GMAT score.

What are your thoughts.

thx in advance

ISB does not have a part time course. They have full time 1 year MBA course and they use GMAT scores to short list candidates.

Is it v. tough to get in ? I heard the cost is 13 lakhs. What other options are available ?

If GMAT is not applicable much in India, is it possible to get some material to prepare for entrance exams by post to singapore e.g. from IMS. anyone has any experience ?

thanks,
