I think very few companies use Teradata DB, obviously few resources and few job opportunities. Not sure about its future....

I guess it has very few project scope. Mostly migration and maintenance projects. To my knowledge Services companies (Infy,TCS,WIPRO,CTS) will have projects in that.

Teradata is only used for very large scale datawarehouse projects. One should not rely on Teradata as sole skill. Just have indepth database knowledge with special knowledge in Teradata.
Banking on Teradata alone is not advisable.
