How to do local look ups in a clustered environment?

I have a clustered environment. And need to go through a series of EJB calls. For performance reasons, I like to all EJB calls in one action are all invoked on one node. So, after the first EJB call on one node, I like to do local look up on the same node for subsequent EJB calls. Help needed. THanks!

Excuse me if this seems obvious... but just get an InitialContext to the local server everytime you need to lookup an ejb.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
