Best Companies in Chennai - India

Hi All,
To my knowledge,all the pay masters are only available in bangalore. What are all the best IT companies available in chennai in terms of Pay, good work culture....

Any ideas or comments about MNC's like google, yahoo..... move to chennai

companies like Infy, TCS, Wipro, CTS, Polaris, Iflex got good population in chennai. Please add on the list about other best IT companies in chennai.

Does HP has the Development center or just the Sales division? There was also a news that Yahoo is going to setup development centre in Chennai, Not sure.

HP started development center in Chennai a year back or so.

I think yahoo has a development center in Chennai. It's opposite to Sun TV's office. Master Card's development center was also in the same building.

In my experience, EDS is the best company to work for in Chennai when you consider the following factors:

Work Culture
Openness
Job Security
Decent Pay

The only thing is you may not get that many onsite opportunities as you do in other companies.

Thanks very much for all of your answers. I am having overall 5+ years of experience and right now working in USA and planning to return india by mid of next year.

My family situation is like that i have to settle down in chennai, so the reason, i have started this thread to understand the oppurtunities in chennai when comapred to Bangalore and Hyderabad.

After returning to india I have to join in a company where i can get good pay, good work and growth. Does EDS has J2EE projects? Heared they have all maintenance work.

Does Amazon in Chennai has scope for J2EE people

Still dont know where is Amzon in chennai. I was working in chennai for 4 years, but didn't hear about Amazon.

Can anybody please tell the scope of J2EE in Amazon?

CEI , eForce Global, Collabnet, Athen Healthcare, Certus, @Road, ObjectFrontier are good options in chennai w.r.t product development.
Mind you, companies are galore everywhere but do your due diligence in undertsanding their competencies and finances before plunging in just becos the superficial stuff is goo(pay, facilities etc etc.)
