Hi Ranchers

I work at Valtech which is getting Agile methodologies as a part of the overall software development process.

I was wondering which companies in Bangalore and Mumbai who have Agile methodologies in their processes.

I know Thoughtworks is the pioneers in the Agile stuff.

Do you guys know of any product development / software services companies who are "truly" Agile but do not use Agile as a buzzword in the market ?

I am looking at Bangalore or Mumbai locations.

You already know ThoughtWorks, and that's a well known company using Agile methodologies. Besides that I do not know many such companies. We use XP/Tests infected programming; but we're a tiny company and not Banglore/Mumbai based either.

The companies which follow Agile methodologies know the value of the level of testing done during development and the time spent for it is more valuable than fixing defects in the maintenance cycle.
It is more specific to the SDLC of when and how the testing is done for the amount of development done for a product.

Most product engineering companies are harping the Agile buzzword..but very few practise it to a T. I am of the opinion that it adds no greater value to your technical skills but it certainly enforces discipline, team work and co-ordination in oneself. Its not for the lazy go types who want to leave for home by 5pm
SpikeSource is a hot new company in this space in blorehem out..

Pair programming is a essential part of agile methodology....The one disadvantage of working in such a company would be a person will always be sitting with you ..You will coding for some time and he will be simultaneously reviewing and after some time both of you will swap places..and so if you are the sort of person who would like to enjoy privacy to do stuff like browsing, chatting or trading then the atmosphere wont be too convenient ..You will only be doing what you ought to do in office... ..But the productivity will be very good from the companies perspective...
