Hi,

I heard that there was a very good hike for 2006 in both TCS and Infosys. One of my friends (in TCS) is having 5 years experience and he told me that he is getting 7.2 LPA. I was very much surprised to know that since TCS is not a good pay master. I just wanyed to know what is the salary for a 5 years exp. guy in TCS and in Infosys ?

Hi,
TCS increased their salary at onsite in 2006, but not sure at offshore. Getting 7.2 for 5 years expereinced is great in TCS.

Not sure on Infosys.

Jothikumar

Yes, I agree that TCS has mdified the onsite salary figures. Eralier, they used to give a flat pay (around $2100 permonth, I guess) and there was no tax on that. As of now, they have made it arounf $5000 per month, but that wil be subjected to TAX as per US rules. Then it should come around $3500 per month. But I would like to know the offshore salary details. I am an ex-TCS employee and was getting around 3.6 LPA in TCS as I was only having 3.5 years experience at that time. Now I am hearing that the pay is very good. So I would like to know the pay level for a person who has nearly 5 years experience

Dear Ankur,

I am not planning to join TCS, but I posted this question out of curiosity (as you know that I am ex-TCS employee).

I don't know whether to get surprised at TCS or at the person who made that claim.

New joinees in 2006 are given salary of last year's scale. Those who are selected in the same year are offered 2.36 LPA for Bachelor Degree.
Any Updated figure is welcomed.
