Value objects: Reporting

Hi,
I have an application in which I am using value objects (entity objects) for datatransfer between various layers.
This works fine however there are certain issue when reports have to be generated.
I am find that reports actually consists of multiple value objects and some of them are actually calculated fields.
Should I change my value objects to include calculated fields? How should I deal with multiple objects.
Thanks

This post is duplicated in the OO forum: http://www.coderanch.com/t/98634/patterns/Value-Objects-Reporting
As this doesn't seem to be very EJB-specific, please continue discussion there. I will request that this thread gets closed.
