Which is the default transaction type in the ejb-jar.xml in case of container managed entity beans/bean managed entity beans???

Usually it's "Required".

This is not mandated by the EJB Specification and therefore it varies between J2EE Application Servers. For this reason, you should always specify the transaction type for your EJBs.
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
