Thank you for the replying. I think my question is actually "are most online store/shop/mall/ (such as amazon, ebay) using j2ee/.net or WebServer-DB only? If so, what about an online shop with about 10,000 users per day? Which one is better?

I don't know about Amazon (netcraft.com hints about mod_fastcgi...?) but EBay has been moving towards J2EE:

Travelocity uses TCL/TK and CGI etc.
Lately they are thinking on moving into J2EE due to its many advantages compared to other options.
Verizon.com is purely based on .net and other technologies that go with it.
Many medium scale web servers(like city libraries) are usually hosted on open-source like JBoss. But, that does not fall in the number of users you are mentioning.
