Is this just me ? I'm getting lots of "504 Gateway Timeout" this week. Can't use the ranch

It is most likely a proxy server you are going through that has the issue.

I was afraid of that 
Yesterday night, I had no problem at home. Only at the company.
This morning, I'm struggling to make it refresh threads without getting that timeout. Snif snif.

I do face the same problem. Today ranch is taking long time to get the page loaded.
