dear all,
I am new to j2ee technologies but i have worked on j2se.
can you people suggest some good learning material or website to me.
I would like to start from scratch as whatis the need for j2ee and henceforth.

Websites that have helped me tremendously. There are many more. First, J2EE 1.3 Tutorial and
J2EE Blue Prints, Patterns, Demos, Etc
Then after you are more comfortable, The Server Side.
Just in case, here are some app server products to look at: App Server Matrix

Ed roman's book on EJB has some decent explanation for the need of J2EE/EJB in the initial chapters.
You can refer to it at the server side website.
