Using deploytool for all war, tar, ear files sucks. Plain configuration file is better. And some explaination for the configuration is absolutely neccessary. Even I passed the Web Component Cert with 94%, I still had to spend much more time than I thought to read/try the J2EE servlet/jsp chapters. Mainly because they use deploytool to DEPLOY.
deploytools sucks. You couldn't even read the configuration file at once in the tool.
