difference between the null and CDRInputStream when JNDI lookup

Hi,
when we do the JNDI lookup some times we get the error.
If the object is bound with that jndi name it gives stud , otherwise it gives null. sometimes i am getting CDRInputStream_1 object also. what is this CDRInputStream. in which case , the container gives CDRInputStream (error).
