Hi, i'd like to try out JDO, however, i need some help on. So, does anyone know a good tutorial with a JDO implementation to use with eclipse (i mean something like a Start up with jdo)? If it's freeware, even better. Thanks, ltcmelo

Hi Leandro, There have been interesting discussions and opinions expressed about JDO at http://www.theserverside.com/news/thread.tss?thread_id=25804 I would encourage you to read these discussions carefully and make your own judgement before you dive into JDO. From what I can judge myself from these discussions, things doesn't look good for the future of JDO. Hibernate is a proven and alternative persitence framework. This framework has been widely adopted. Check http://www.hibernate.org for more info. Regards, Francis. Hi Francis, although i also have never used, i think hibernate has gained more users than JDO. However, i really would like to try out JDO with a very basic simple small application, just to see how it looks like. That`s why i`m asking our ranchers for a Start up intro to JDO. I took a look at the link you sent (not the whole thing... it`s quite big) and found it interesting. I plan to re-read it after my basic JDO app. So, if anyone has a sugestion of a Start up app with JDO... something like a tutorial, would be very nice. Thanks, ltcmelo
