Now i want to start EJB's,so can anyone tell me how should i start; There was no java beans and no JDBC in our course,so for learning EJB's whether i should first learn these concepts or just start the EJB's and will learn these concepts while doing EJB development. The other thing which i have to ask that which book should i refer for: 1)EJB & 2)JDBC Thanx !! Waiting for ur reply.

Java Beans have nothing to do with EJB. So don't bother with them. JDBC? You can look at this if you feel you'd like to learn. It too is nothing to do with EJB, however JDBC is quite often used in conjunction with EJB. Read up on J2EE in general first - so you know what component technology does what and where they fit (Servlets/JSP, EJB, JDBC, JMS, JAAS, JDO, JTA etc.) Then you might want to start with web apps (Servlets/JSPs) its how most people begin.
