Performance/Benefits of using Spring with Ejb

Is anyone using Spring Framework with Ejb's? If so, have they got any performance gains or other benefits using the same. Or if Hibernate would be better to use.

It looks good with examples as to how to use different features like AOP, etc. but it doesn't talk about the performance and architectural consideration if Ejb would be better or Hibernate.
