Accenture 2 years- 5.25 lpa????

One of my friend who has 2 years of experience in ASP .net; has told me that she is getting an offer of 5.25 lpa from Accenture. I wonder if that could be possible, that too when her current CTC is less than 3.2
I could not believe this, as far as I have heard Accenture cannot pay more than 4 at this stage. Has anyone heard of that?

Also can anyone tell me about Zensar. Can it offer 5.5 lpa in this condition.

I could not believe this.

Hi Ritika,

Yes, Zensar can offer you the same or may be more salary depending on how your technical skills are.

Let me know in case you need further information.

What is the query here actually ??
If your friend is getting 5+ lpa then you should congratulate her and ask for a party

I guess from 3.2 -->5.25 is only 65 % jump ..Always possible at this level ..and why accenture can not pay ..its 16 BUSD company ...

Hi,
Thanks for the replies.
I was concerned about accenture, so as to know if others can also expect this much.

Not sure about Zensar, but i am doubtful if Accenture can pay 5.25 LPA for 2 years experienced person.

Hi,

I have attended Accenture last month . They asked to attend for an objective test on Java / J2EE . Then was an HR screening and then HR interview. I asked for 5.5LPA . They did not accept.

:-((((

A big surprise 2 yrs -- 5.25 LPA

65 % means Rs.10000 extra ..I guess nobody will be willing to change the job for less than 10k additional unless he/she is having a strong liking for the company/onsite/strong disliking for the present company or Boss !

Dear Rajesh,

If I am not wrong then I have seen your earlier thread and What I know about you, is You are 10 Years Experienced professional in SAP. Please correct me If I am wrong, and for you and your Level of-course it's not good to jump for 10K Extra...and Please note this 10K is per month.

But for a normal 2-5 Years Expereince professional if you are getting around 10K+ per month extra from your current salary, Then I personally beleive that this is a good hike.

As I already told this was my personnal opinion. Please don't mind.

Impossible pay yar
eventhoght accenture send most of the employees to another company as Vendor employees (Refugees)

That much pay they won't give for a 2+ guy

I agree with Ankur. The amount need to be compared based on present salary and should not seen as actual number. If a guy getting 5K and if he get 5K it should be major hike but, if you see the number 5k it is very less.

Guys ,

I never said that around 10k/month hike is not good for change at this level ..But what I meant was 65% hike is very common nowadays and if it is very less than that people might not be interested for a change (if the change is only for salary ) ..

rathiji ,

you need to calculate 30 % to Tax uncle and more the CTC , more variable (which normally you do not get 100% in most of the companies )..from my experience every one lakh of hike means Rs.5000/month ..

The logic for 30% is anything beyond 2.5L you need to pay 30%. Lets say you are getting 3L in company A and your shifting to accenture for 5L. Then you need to pay the 30% tax for the 2 lakhs which you are gaining by shifting, since anything above 2.5L would be taxed at 30%

P.S. the tax slabs for a guy in india
< 1L - 0%<br /> 1-1.5 - 10%<br /> 1.5-2.5 - 20%<br /> > 2.5 L - 30%

Anyways I think that 65% is a great jump, no matter whatever the position and i am not sure that all the people get such a high percentage while jumping

James, JFYI, tax bracket is changed a bit now, but it doesn't make any difference in your calculation.

As far as i know, we refer 30% increase as the industry standard. Some people get upto 40% if they jump from a "low paying big company like" Satyam/Wipro/TCS to a relatively small company like Fidelity/Techspan/Induslogic. And if you jump to Microsoft/Google/Yahoo then you might get upto 100% jump.
But it is very very unlikely that people get 65% jump when switching to a company like accenture who is on major recruitment drive.
Whatever is the case, my opinion is that 65% jump is not common in India.

I am not sure about JAVA skills but I have seen people with SAP skills get 65% hike at this level easily ..So , I guess its a question of demand and supply ..
Also , I am not sure if Accenture is not paying why people are joining as it is on major recruitment drive ? Are people recruited by Accenture not able to get job anywhere OR Accenture is good apart from Salary e.g. training etc. ??

Actually accenture is hiring every Tom-Dick-Harry. Their only criteria is 2 years experience + full time graduation(B.Sc B.Com also eligible). So you can understand what is the kind of crowd they are targeting.

I am not sure about it but reverse is true. Many people who can get job any where can't get job in Accenture

Now both these are contradicting statements !

I agree with Nitin that in Accenture advertisements criteria for application is any graduation .May be they are doing this to reduce attrition .As long as work quality is different for different qualifications and skills , this should not be a problem ..

I have seen most of major Indian companies (TCS/INFY/WIPRO/SATYAM)who hire only BE/BTECH/IIT/MBA/IIM do not have matching work quality for their employees ..The only factor which goes in their favour to reduce attrition is chance for onsite work ..I have seen IIM person with 4 years of experience doing regular maintenance tasks in these companies and getting frustrated
