Hi All, This question is nothing but request/response paradigm. We often send request and get response. That means server allways send response of the comming request. Is it possible that server send some notification kind of thing without sending request.
I'm working with a vendor framework that includes an applet which opens a serversocket. The applet registers its identity and address with the EJB server. The EJB server can open a socket and send a message to the applet. This lets us pop work to the browser with no request from the browser. Is that what you mean?
A good question is never answered. It is not a bolt to be tightened into place but a seed to be planted and to bear more seed toward the hope of greening the landscape of the idea. John Ciardi
