I was wondering why doesn't JR has stickies, I mean sticky threads! These can be quite useful for giving out info like faqs, rules et al.. I wanted to start looking at info abt SCWCD and I wasn't able to find any easily findable general introduction to the same at JR, Wouldn't be nice when someone goes to SCJP forum and it has a post at the top explaining whats SCJP all about (The objectives, avg. preparation time required, how to prepare blah blah blah) Similarly for other exams. I know most of the info is "out there" but is not always easily searchable/manually findable.

Amit, While we don't have sticky threads, we do have a mechanism for putting standard information on top before any threads. For example, the SCJP page has a whole section of important information: the position on real questions, FAQ, articles, etc. One of them is a link to the wiki FAQ which includes the exam objectives. Since it is a wiki, you can add anything you think would be useful!
