Hello, I am opening and closing connection for my each method in database bean. I have 2 questions Does this practice create performance problem? If yes Can someone tell me how to use connection pooling Thanks in Advance, - Girish
First u create a data source in beaweblogic8.1 Connectionpooling with a specified name. and u the datasource in u r coding once and connect to the database .
Just write one open, one close connections methods for general odbc driver type and make a call to that methods.
But this type of connections leads to poor performance when you are going for large scale applications. so go for "DataSource" .Performance in sense of network if the database is remote, Querying the database , performance of coding etc..
