I think the OP is referring to the fact that one of the links in the referenced FAQ seems to be broken or outdated. Their ire about this seems a little misguided though. Issues like these should probably be politely brought to the attention of the moderators in this forum. Please use the Java in General (beginner) forum for Java questions. Okay, I'll admit this was the first time I checked out the link being discussed (links to free stuff on the internet).
Could one of the now-double-earning volunteer staff confirm that the links are to legit (non-copyrighted) material? Specifically, the links to the classics by Wirth seem suspiciouslegit (*) (they are published by either Prentice Hall or Addison-Wesley).
