I am trying to compile AdviceClient.java on my UBUNTU linux system using BASH. I have J2SE 1.4.2 and J2EE 1.3. my dir structure is as per the book. When the server deployed my adviceappclient.jar, it did that on the following path /home/amol/programs/j2sdkee1.3.1/repository/my_machine/applications why can I not see it under projects/advice as is told in the book? Because of this, I am not able to compile AdviceClient.java the way it is told in the book. I can copy AdviceAppClient.jar into projects/advice but if there is a more intelligent way to do it, I would like to know. please help ! My background: I am completely new to the J2EE world. I am a Sun Cert java programmer though. ~Amol
