Hi all,

I lived in US and currently woked as embeedded software engineer. I used c as development language in my daily work. I had my MS in CS in 2002 and the current embedded software engineer is my first job after school.
Most my classes in MS program use java, so I have know java since 4 years ago, just have no chance to use it.

My question is now for personal and finacial reason I want to wrok as Jvaa developer, but I am not sure how could I get in the filed without any java programming experience. I have give it serious thought and now I am preapring for SCJP and hope this could help me a little bit.

Could you guys let me know if there is anything else I could do to prepare me for a java developer position.
By the way I also tried to find if there is any open source community that I could involve and contribute to proof my development skill to my future employer, but no luch there too. If you happen to know anything like this, could you please share the information with me.

Thanks all for help!
